BIOGRAPHY: Martha is a NYS licensed Acupuncturist, and a Board Certified Herbalist practicing in New York City. After receiving her Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy, she worked in a number of hospital, inpatient, outpatient and community settings and developed a special focus on pediatrics. Martha received her Masters of Science and Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. As an acupuncturist, she has provided services at the Initiative for Women with Disabilities at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and the Fortune Society. In private practice, Martha is in a unique position to be able to draw on her experience from both Western and Eastern Medicine perspectives when providing Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine treatment. She is also able to utilize her extensive experience in the healing arts of Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Tui Na. The course of treatment is tailored to the specific needs of each individual, and Martha treats a wide variety of medical problems in both children and adults.
